They say time heals all wounds, but time can also allow those same wounds to fester and be the beginning of a full blown toxic onslaught. We can neglect our bodies for many reasons: laziness, mental health conditions, ignorance or even lack of financial security. Through procrastination we neglect our school work or job tasks, putting things off until the last minute because for some reason we assume we always have more time than we actually do.
I have neglected this blog for years now, a fact I don’t think anyone really cares about because I am pretty sure that nobody actually reads it, and moreover it is crazy that it has been five years since I started it. It was always just for my enjoyment though, an outlet to write random things that interest me and a way to stay sharp and practice writing. I recently came across some writing that I had done for a high school English class, some fictional stories and term papers; I was not a fantastic writer by any stretch of the imagination but I was serviceable. I feel that I have improved a lot, but I am also not sure anyone will ever read my newest short stories and writing because I do not feel comfortable putting them out for publication, at least not yet.
I will start writing here regularly once again, and maybe I will become comfortable with sharing my longer written works or posting smaller tidbits here. Be on the look out as they say.
